Shape hints

• ccw : defines the vertex ordering for the coordinates of a geometry
  • TRUE ; the normals shall follow the right hand rule
  • FALSE ; the normals shall follow the opposite right hand rule

• convex : indicates whether all polygons in the shape are convex (TRUE)

• creaseAngle : affects default (system generated) normals generation. If angle between geometric normals of two adjacent faces :
  • less than creaseAngle : normals will produce smooth-shaded faces
  • otherwise : normals shall produce a sharp edge

• solid : determines whether one or both sides of each polygon shall be displayed
  • TRUE ; polygon visibility depends on relationship between polygon normal and viewer vector (backface culling)
  • FALSE ; polygon visible regardless backface culling
