History
Because integrating the knowledge of an application expert guarantees that the resultant visualization application is not only technically robust but also profoundly valuable and applicable to the precise domain it caters to, the works were collaboratively undertaken alongside domain-specific experts.
- 2005-2007: Meira, under the co-supervision of
Profs. Wu Shin-Ting, Lia Mota and Alexandre Assis Mota, developed
an algorithm for automatically generating one-line diagram. He also
improved in his
IC work the user interface designed by Siqueira.
- 2005-2006: Andrade, in the context of his IC work, improved and
implemented the geospatial data model proposed by Siqueira. He also
developed a user interface for facilitating the data edition.
- 2003-2007: In order to improve the visualization of
geospatial power transmission grid,
Cardoso analyzed several line simplification algorithms
and implemented a novel one
in the context of his Mestrado's thesis.
- 2003-2005: Siqueira, under the co-supervision of Profs.
Wu Shin-Ting, Anésio dos Santos Junior, and Takaaki Ohishi,
investigated in his Mestrado's thesis
the potential of graphics resources in assisting the elaboration of a
power pre-dispatch.
- 1994-1998: Pio de Campos, under the co-supervision of Profs.
Wu Shin-Ting (FEEC/Unicamp) and Marcus A. M. de
Aguiar (IFGW/Unicamp), developed in his Mestrado's thesis
a prototype for visualizing the numerical Poincaré maps, which
have proved to be a valuable tool
in the analysis of several dynamical systems modeled
by differential equations.
