From Jun./2006 to Jun./2013 I was the Unicamp's General Coordinator for communication and information technology issues (CTIC).
From Oct./2005 to Jun./2013 I was the head of Unicamp's computing center (CCUEC).
From May/2001 to May/2005 I was the Academic Coordinator of Computer Engineering undergraduate course at Unicamp (Computer Engineering undergrad course information).
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from
Juiz de Fora Federal University - MG - Brazil (1986), master's in
Electrical Engineering from Chiba (National) University - Japan
(1990), and doctorate in Computer Science from Chiba (National)
University - Japan (1993). Worked as a researcher and Associate
Professor at the Information Engineering Department, Shinshu
(National) University - Japan (1993 - 1996). Presently, is an
Associate Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer
Engineering, State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Besides his
academic activities at Unicamp, he worked also as coordinator of
Computer Engineering undergraduate course, head of Unicamp's
Computing Center (CCUEC) and Unicamp General Coordinator of
Communications and Information Technology office (CTIC). Main
activities: teaching, research and advising undergrad, master and
doctorate students in the field of Computer Science and
Engineering, with emphasis on information security (applied
cryptography) and high performance computing (massively parallel
processing).
