Co-evolutionary robotics: practical and philosophical perspectives

The field of evolutionary robotics has provided an exciting opportunity for combining insights from biology and artificial intelligence in the development of autonomous systems. This session aims at explicating some ongoing research projects and the philosophical questions that they raise. Specifically, the focus will be on the co-evolution of artificial neural network control systems and morphology as well as on the co-evolution of different interacting species.
