Short Bio

Christian Esteve Rothenberg, received the Telecommunication Engineering degree from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, and the M.Sc. (Dipl. Ing.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Darmstadt University of Technology (TUD), Germany, within the framework of the T.I.M.E. double degree exchange program (2006).
He finished his master thesis at Deutsche Telekom / T-Systems (Darmstadt, Germany) on IMS-based fixed mobile convergence and mobility management. He continued working at Deutsche Telekom in the following projects:
- ScaleNet - Scalable, efficient and flexible next generation converged fixed, mobile and wireless access networks.
- Soran - Self Optimising Radio Access Networks. Studies on the 3GPP LTE architecture and functional elements to provide self-configuration and self-optimization functionalities.

At Centro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento (CPqD) he is involved in R&D and consultant activities on IPTV over WiMAX, Service Delivery Platforms, IMS/NGN and Future Internet architectures.

His past and current experiences include following and participating in standardization activities at ETSI TISPAN, WiMAX Forum NWG, 3GPP, IETF (sipping, p2psip, dime, 16ng, netlmm).
