Synthetic Scenes

What follows are some examples of scenes created synthetically which can be used as VOI.

Each presented scene was generated by successive concatenation of bands using vaband. Their bands were created by vgauss3d in the following way: in the first scene, they had decreasing variance in x and y directions; in the second scene, there was a displacement of the distribution center; in the third scene, two distributions were generated and simply replicated by vexpand3d; in the last scene, a distribution with different variance in x and y had its covariance changed, which is expressed as a rotation angle.

The folowing is another example of using vgauss3d with multiple distributions in combination with different threshold values to generate synthetic scenes.

Synthetic scenes can also be created by complements, intersections, unions and differences between scenes. The following is an example of union of three cilinders and its dual.
