Mathematical Morphology is a framework to extract information from images. Under this framework Computer Vision problems are solved by image transformations that are lattice operators.

These lattices operators are designed as a composition of Mathematical Morphology elementary operators and express the user's knowledge about the specific problem. At the moment, there are not rules to choose the right operators. Thus, the design of lattice operators is an art managable only by experts in the subject.

The main idea under the design process is to decompose the end goal into subgoals and express them as specific lattice operators. In this way, the end goal will be a composition of the lattice operators representing the subgoals.

In the following, we give some examples that, we hope, will be useful to learn how to use MMach to solve complex real world problems. They were divided by their main subjects
