PROGRAM NAME

vthreshm - Adaptive Thresholding of an Image

DESCRIPTION

vthreshm will do the adaptative threshold of an input image. Two input images can be entered as the lower and higher limit images. Optionally, two integer parameters can be entered instead of these images.

The three input images must be of the same size and have the same number of data bands.

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS

-i1
type: infile
desc: Image to be compared
-o
type: outfile
desc: resulting output image

Mutually Exclusive Group; you must specify ONE of:

-i2
type: infile
desc: Lower threshold level
default: {none}
OR
-l
type: integer
desc: lower thresh. level
default: 128
bounds: -32768 < [-l] < 32767

Mutually Exclusive Group; you must specify ONE of:

-i3
type: infile
desc: Upper thres. level
default: {none}
OR
-u
type: integer
desc: upper thresh. level
default: 255
bounds: -32768 < [-u] < 32767

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS

none

EXAMPLES

vthreshm -i1 img1.xv -i2 img2.xv -i3 img3.xv -i4 img4.xv -o img5.xv

img1 is the image to be compared img2 is the lower limit image img3 is the higher limit image img4 is the result of the comparition

RESTRICTIONS

vthreshm is presently only implemented for byte images. The input images' data type can be BYTE or SHORT. The resulting image will be of the BYTE data type.
