PROGRAM NAME

vdist - Distance Transform of a binary image

DESCRIPTION

vdist will do the distance function of an input binary image.

Euclidean or City Block (4-connectivity or 8-connectivity) distance functions can be chosen.

REQUIRED ARGUMENTS

-i
type: infile
desc: input image
-cv
type: integer toggle
desc: dist. function
allowed values:
-o
type: outfile
desc: resulting output image

OPTIONAL ARGUMENTS

none

EXAMPLES

vdist -i ball.xv -cv 4 -o outimage.xv

Will do the 4-connectivity City Block distance function of image "ball.xv", with the resulting image written to "outimage.xv".

RESTRICTIONS

vdist The input image should be a binary image of the VIFF_TYP_1_BYTE (byte) data type (pixel values can be 0 or 255). The output image will be of the VIFF_TYP_2_BYTE (short) data type.
